Fortinet Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

Fortinet (Nasdaq: FTNT  ) reported earnings on Jan. 30. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Fortinet beat expectations on revenues and beat expectations on earnings per share.

Compared to the prior-year quarter, revenue grew significantly and GAAP earnings per share increased significantly.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 72.6%, 50 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 23.2%, about the same as the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 14.2%, 60 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
